Wide opening: fixed panel, door, fixed panel
When the opening is too wide for one fixed panel and a door, split it three ways. The door hinges off one fixed panel and closes against the other. Everything is worked out from one width and one height.
Best for: Openings over about 1600 mm, or where the door needs to be in the middle.

- How wide is the door?
- Choose any stock door width (550 to 700 mm) and the two fixed panels share the rest equally.
- Do I need a header bar?
- Over about 2000 mm wide, or with brackets rather than channel, a header or support arm is recommended. Add it in the hardware step.
